Managing downtime reasons in the Insight app

The Insight app includes the Downtime reason manager. This covers all machines and provides a list of downtime periods, whether reasons have been given and what they are. This also allows downtime reasons to be split, and reasons and descriptions to be given and changed.

To open the Downtime reason manager, open the sidebar in the innius Insight app and click Management. (1.)

The Downtime reason manager, shows all the downtime periods across all your machines in a table. By clicking the column headers, you can sort the downtime periods based on a particular column.

At the bottom you can click through the pages (2.).

In the top right is a menu (3.), which allows the columns to be selected (3a.), for the data to be printed (3b.) and for export to Microsoft Excel (3c.).

In the data, you can see reasons assigned for downtime periods, including any description, and the time and user associated with the last edit of the reason (4.).

You can also see downtime periods which have not be assigned a reason, and you can add this directly yourself, by clicking on the relevant fields (5.).

The menu button on the right of each row allows you to split downtime periods into two periods of time. Click the Split time button to do this (6.).

Note: it is only possible to split a downtime reason, once a reason has been assigned.

This opens the split time pop-up dialog, which again shows the start time, end time and duration. Use the split time field (7.) to assign the number of minutes at which the time will downtime period will be split.

For example, a downtime period has the following times:

From: 7:55

To: 8:00

Duration: 5 minutes

If you split time at 2 minutes this will create two downtime periods (8.) one from 7:55 to 7:57 and the second from 7:57 to 8:00.
