What is a machine?

A machine is the nucleus of the innius system. It represents an industrial asset that is used in the production of goods or services. A machine in innius is characterized by three key elements: machine ID, machine Name and the Machine sensors.

  • Machine ID
    • A machine ID is always unique and is generated by innius when the machine is created.
    • A machine is per definition associated only with your company.
  • Machine Name
    • A name that you can give it during creating a machine in innius. This name is used throughout the innius platform.
  • Machine Sensor
    • Machine sensors are the representation in innius of the datapoints or sensors of the real machine.
