Machine
health information has been designed with maintenance service providers in mind.
Particularly those technical service teams, IT departments and machine builders which
are not in regular on-site contact with machinery, but need to know when they
servicing.
The machine health wallboard and map bring together the following information:
Machine health: This combines the machine status (on, off or operational problem) with the connection status (is the machine connected to the gateway device).
Connection status: Is the gateway device (typically an Ewon or Ixon) connected to innius?
Data flow: Is data flowing between the gateway device and innius?
This results in the following machine health statuses:
- Machine healthy (green): The last update from the machine itself was that it was either on or off. If the connection is lost or the data stops flowing, this of course remains at the last status which was received.
- Machine unhealthy (orange): The last update from the machine itself was that it either had an operational problem or it has lost its connection with the gateway device.
- Connection lost (red): This status overrides both machine healthy and unhealthy statuses. It occurs when either there is no data flowing from the gateway to innius, or the connection between the gateway and innius is disconnected.
Note about connection status: The connection status which is combined with the machine status information regards the machine/PLC's connection with the gateway. Whereas the other connection status information regards the connection between the gateway and innius.
Machine
health information can be found in the Insight app. To open it on a desktop,
firstly open the side navigation by clicking on the menu button (1.), then Machine health (2.) and choosing either the Map or List view (3.).
The Map view shows the machines which have both the machine health configured and also have an assigned location. The coloured circle for each machine icon indicates the machine health status. Hovering the mouse over a particular machine shows a pop-up with the specific information about machine health, connection and data flow.
The wallboard view, shows the number of each machines with each status, and then lists each machine below showing the details.
