In most cases you don't want all the users in your company to have full access to all 3 innius apps: Admin, Operations and Insight. By assigning authorisation roles to each user you can limit which apps they have access to.
There are currently 4 authorisation roles:
- Administrator: Has access to the Admin, Insight and Operations apps
- Operator: Has access to the Operations app
- Supervisor: Has access to the Insight and Operations apps (in the future access to the Insight app may be partially restricted)
- Manager: Has access to the Insight and Operations apps
How to change Authorisation roles
Changing authorisation roles takes place in the Admin app, and is therefore restricted to Admin users. You can read more about Admin users in the article:
Managing admin users
In the Admin app, open the side bar (1.) and click on the People page (2.).
On the People page you will see the users in your company, and in the Authorisation column, their designated role (3.). Click on the three dots button to open the menu, and click Edit Person (4.).
On the Person page, you will see the users details, and can use the dropdown selection to change the authorisation role (5.).
When you have finished editing the user, you can click 'Save' to apply the changes (6.).
